Looking for resources to better understand the culture and history behind Hispanic Heritage Month in your practice? Our team has you covered.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate and reflect on the contributions Hispanic and Latino communities have made and continue to make in every industry. Their impact on veterinary medicine is no exception. By the numbers, Hispanic veterinary professionals make up about 5% of the profession. Additionally, 61.4% of Hispanic-identifying households own a pet.

However, for Hispanic professionals and clients alike, there are still challenges in the industry from communication barriers to resource discrepancies. Here is a list of resources curated by AAHA staff to help better understand the importance of Hispanic Heritage Month’s significance year-round.
