Why is JAAHA going digital only?

In response to market demands, as well as reader preferences and habits, it was decided that a digital-only model would work best for the association and the membership.

Will I still be able to get a print issue?

No. The final print issue is the Nov/Dec 2024 issue. We realize some people do prefer to have a physical copy to read, so pdfs of articles will still be available to print out, but the print issues will not be mailed out.

Will the content be any different?

JAAHA will still contain the high-quality, peer-reviewed content that readers have come to expect over the last 60 years. In the coming months, we may be expanding into new content areas, but that will be announced as it rolls out.

Can I still submit papers to JAAHA?

Yes. The submission process is unchanged. In fact, with digital-only, approved papers will likely appear much quicker in the journal.

How do I access the digital version?

To access the digital version of JAAHA, AAHA members and subscribers can simply go to jaaha.org and login. To subscribe, visit the subscription page.  For submissions, please visit the online submission portal. For detailed submission instructions, please visit the “Instructions for Authors” page.
