Tables 1 and 2 (found on pages 184-189) are designed to facilitate initial conversations between practitioners and owners about some of the most common cancers seen in dogs and cats. The tables are intended as a quick reference and do not fully capture the variability in the behavior of the tumors listed, cannot be used to predict outcome in individual patients, and are not intended to serve as a primary resource for making clinical decisions.
